The Montessori Numerals and Counters educational aid supports the natural and visual development of basic mathematical concepts. The child arranges the numerals in the correct sequence and places the corresponding number of counters beneath each one. Thanks to the arrangement of the counters, the child can easily recognize which numbers can be divided into pairs and which have one counter left over.
The aid develops an understanding of numbers, quantities, and their relationships. It also indirectly prepares children for later work with multiplication, divisibility, multiples, and factors. During the activity, the child also practices concentration, fine motor skills, and independent error checking.
