The black wolf (also Yukon wolf) is a subspecies of the gray wolf living in North America. In the wild it usually has dark fur (black to brown) and grows to a length of approximately 150 to 210 cm. Wolves move in packs, often around eight individuals, and hunt, for example, wild sheep, rabbits, and also larger animals such as moose or bison.
