Psittacosaurus, also known as the parrot lizard, was a small herbivorous dinosaur that lived in what is now Mongolia and China during the Early Cretaceous (approximately 100–120 million years ago). Based on current knowledge, it probably could run on its hind legs, and even without horns or bumps it was linked with horned dinosaurs by its distinctive, robust “parrot” beak.
