Sarah Jane McKinney works as a secretary for a pharmaceutical company, but her ambitions reach much higher. She is waiting for her “Mr. Right”, and since he still hasn’t appeared, she decides to fight for a managerial position – even at the cost of “enhancing” her résumé a little.
At first it looks like she might succeed, but in the end she finds herself back in the secretary’s chair, this time working for a young, promising manager who might be the one. However, the situation takes a turn: Sarah accidentally kills him and discovers that bosses leaving can be truly beneficial for her career. The problem arises when her “Mr. Right” finally appears – as a homicide detective.
