The Piko model of the T 669 diesel locomotive in ČSD livery (Era IV) offers detailed workmanship, a heavy metal frame, and excellent running characteristics thanks to a motor with two flywheels. It also features preparation for the PluX22 digital interface, directional white/red lighting, and high tractive effort supported by traction tires.
The characteristic T 669 diesel-electric locomotive produced by ČKD Praha originated from export orders for six-axle machines for heavy shunting service. After successful prototype tests, series production began, which was later moved to ZTS Dubnica due to capacity constraints at the plant. The locomotives quickly became an indispensable part of major marshalling yards in the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia.
The Piko model is built on a precisely made heavy zinc die-cast frame and is equipped with a motor with two flywheels for smooth running and stable performance. Four driven axles and 2 traction tires (mounted diagonally) ensure high tractive effort. The locomotive is fitted with a NEM 658 PluX22 digital interface and is prepared for later installation of a sound decoder.
