By covering the top hole with your finger you can change the character of the resulting sound – from open to a more muted tone. Great for trying out differences and rhythmic games.
The kazoo is made of plastic, has a length of approx. 12 cm, and is supplied on a card. Various colors are available (blue, red, yellow, green) – you always buy 1 piece.
The Směr kazoo does not produce a tone just by blowing like a whistle. You sing, speak, or hum into the wider opening, and the flow of your voice vibrates the internal membrane, which makes the sound characteristically “buzz.” The resulting tone follows the pitch of the original melody, so you can easily try short rhythms and familiar tunes in smaller sections.
You can further change the sound color by covering the top hole with your finger and comparing an open versus a more muted tone. The kazoo is suitable as a simple accompaniment to singing, clapping, and also for games in pairs (question–answer). Proper function depends on directing your voice into the mouthpiece, not on airflow alone.
